What are you all using for a spell checker for your PC? Current OS is XP. I am looking for something non intrusive that you have not had any problems with, yet is easy to use. TIA

+1 reading clip-on lenses and proofreading works for me. I catch spelling errors as I type. Oh, wait. You want a program that does that. Turns out I can't help after all.

Sorry. The Devil made me do it!

If you are talking about typing on web pages, then Firefox is a good choice. It has a built in spell checker that works very much like MS word.

If you are talking about typing letters, then they usuallyhave a built in one.

Unsure of spell checker but if I miss-spell a word my Apple laptop os puts red dots under the letter, if I am unable to correct it I have a word speller my son bought me, also if incorrect grammar used green dots appear. Believe one can have computer correct spelling but I'm not up to that experienced, and try not to screw the whole thing up by pressing buttons I should keep well away from.

Type what you want in Word, then copy and paste it into whatever. Word will underline misspelled words and do grammar checks.
