i visually like the spelling of gauge over gage, but they both get the point across. in my tahoe, when you put the ign. in run, the dash light is "check gages" so both seem to be coming common. kinda like night and nite, colour and color, high and hi [like high temp -> hi temp] the computer age is making people lasy. it takes just a bit less time to type in one or two characters less so people do that.

I get kinda tired of the who cares if its done right as long as its easy attitude that seems to be becoming more common as time goes by. Its no big deal on the "gauges" thing but it seems just as easy to do it right as do it wrong.

the problem is

folks who don't know if they're (not "there" or "their") spelling things right (not "rite") or not these days. I use creative spelling quite often, but know when not to.

And it took me a while (not "awhile") to learn to type "g-a-u" instead of "g-u-a" for gauges, but I learned nonetheless. Caution--I have a dictionary and KNOW how to use it.

Typo's are one thing, ignorance is another.

Sorry for the vent, carry on. :p

Just remember, everone is gaging yer inteligince by yer spilling!

May I assume you meant "it's", not "It"?
