I saw them in the newest catalogue. Wanted to know if anybody has used them. I like the idea of quick on and off. Saw some in campers world for less money but said drilling may be required. I want to keep crud from the front bottom of the 5er. Any thoughts on these?

SPLASH GUARDS FROM GENOS

I meant to answer your request yesterday regarding the SPLASH GUARDS, but I've been real busy installing my gauges.

I opened the box on my splash guards and found a few "issues". I plan to return them because: 1) My hitch is perfectly square and the splash guard opening that you insert the square receiver through has rounded corners. It will not fit on my trailer hitch. However, if I use my boat hitch, which has rounded corners, it will work perfectly. In your application, it might work perfect for your 5er too. 2) The plastic guards that hang down to keep the broom pointed down (wind deflector) are warped and do not line up with the holes in the channel that extend out from the center left and right. I had expected a better product from Geno's:mad:

I expect these are just commom qualitty assurance concerns at the SPLASH GUARD manufacturing facility and DO NOT CHANGE MY POSITIVE OPINION OF THE GREAT SERVICE GENO'S OFFERS. I plan to return the SPLASH GUARD and get another one in exchange.

Your truck and mine could both use a SPLASH GUARD that hangs a few more inches lower because of the truck body height we have. Our hich receiver is a few inches higher up to begin with than 2WD units.

If you have any additional questions, post me. I hope that helps.
