After going 190 miles, i let it run while I was pumping. As I remove the gas cap I could hear a rythmic splash kind of like in unison with the fuel pump. Is this normal?

Sorry I cannot describe it better. In a week or so I could take a recording as right now the tank is full and it does not do it.

I second on the return. When you are idleing, the pump moves way more fuel than you use. Moves even more at 2000rpm. Very normal.

A louder exhaust will definetly take care of the problem... lol good one gary

or get a fass unit, you wont hear nuthin but a loud electric motor, but i dont mind, it gives my engine all the fuel it wants plus some!

The noise is not a problem for me, but I remeber reading on the 24v forum someone had a problem with a sending unit and was causing rough running. Mine still runs like crap when cold, but like a raped ape when warm. I thought that something could be wrong and thats why I hear that noise.

Running like crap when its cold is a 12v trait. If you even attempt to give mine alot of fuel when you have just started it and the temp is below 32 you will find the going rough. When its colder than 32 outside I always start mine and allow it to warm up some and I never mash the pedal until the motor is in its proper operating range.

The spalsh you heard could be the return from the motor, however,I doubt it. Its probably just the fuel still trying to settle down in the tank after your drive as it will still be moving long after you stop. Its alot easier to see on the big rigs when we fuel after coming off the road due to the larger fuel tank openings. Right after coming off the road the fuel will slosh around for a while until it settles.

Wes...

If he went to a FASS he would not be having the truck idling when fueling anyway, unless he wanted a fuel bath,LOL... ... Andy
