I know this has been hashed todeath, but the 95 is stripped down for paint and I'm gonna upgrade to Sport Headlights when I reinstall all the removed trim and lights. I've been running the Summit Headlight wiring loom with relays that was on sale a few years ago need to know if I can upgrade the Summit wiring or would I be better off with some of the other options.

Thanks,

RR

Yes & no

If I understand the summit harness its basically the same as the factory. You have a plug going to the relays that goes to the headlamp. The summit is set up for one bulb per headlamp. The sport headlights are a two bulb setup. One 9007 & one 9004. You could simply plug the suv lights harness in and it would work with the summit harness. This would actually be a disadvantage because you're adding two relays that you really dont need. You would essentially be tripping the suvlights relays with the summit relays. Which is two more relays that might fail and cause you to loose the headlights. My advice would be to ditch the summit harness (sell it to someone that hasnt done the sport headlight conversion) and use just the suvlights harness. The OTHER option would be to find some sport headlight assemblies that use a single bulb (they're out there just not as easy to find). Hope this helps and didnt completely confuse you.

I upgraded to the sport lights this year. I've had the SUVLights relays for years and just made up an additional wire harness with 2 more relays to run the 9007 bulbs. The relay input was from the unused stock headlight plug that resulted from using the SUVlights harness. The SUVlights harness gets power from one battery and the new harness from the other side.
