Sorry for beating a dead horse but after reading a ton of posts on the sport lights I still have not found the answer to my question.

What I am trying to find out is what bulbs light up and when.

I know that each side has a 9007 and a 9004 bulb.

When on low do both bulbs light up on their low setting?

I am just trying to figure out how to set things up if I do the conversion.

It would be easy to make both light up on low and then both again on high if that is how they should work.

thanks

Bill

OEM configuration:

Low - outboard (9007) low beam filaments lit.

High - outboard (9007) high beam & inboard (9004) high beam filaments lit.

I have noticed zero problems with all four low beam filaments lit on low beam and all eight filaments lit on high beam.

Bill,

As Thomas, said. But to add some more info: without extra wiring, the low filament of the 9004 bulbs are never used in the sports. Your low beams use only the 9007 low filament wth the standard wiring setup. Seemed like kind of a waste to me so I set up a separate switch/relay to light the 9004 lows. This seems to add light in the center of your lane and ehnances lighting more vertically in your lane than horizontally. So it could be a real annoyance to whowever you are following. Nor would I use the 9004 low in town, just to avoid blinding drivers.

I also wired in a relay that allows me to leave the 9007 low filament on with my high beams.
