{Sport Owners} Do you want to trade bumpers chrome+WARN SS Grill Guard

I havent had any luck selling it and I really like the sport bumpers instead. Heres a pic and info. I prefer white.



WARN Stainless Steel Front Grill Guard with front reciever and light brackets. (Lights not included) This is a very nice stainless system which cost over $600 (twice the price and black) Ive only had it for 6 months and it worked awsome. I bought the Mulit Mount Winch Plate (not included) so you can use a Winch in the front or rear. I had it set up w/ a 9500lb winch and it worked great when getting me unstuck in the snow. Or you can use the front reciever for towing/pulling.

not sure if you know,,but,,if you actually find someone to trade a sport bumper for a chrome there is alot more to it than just changing bumpers. you will need all the bumper mounting brackets from the frame out(sport is completely different than a slt). the sport also has a different metal bumper behind the facia.

you will need the sport fog/driving lites too.

you will also need to change your chrome grille to the painted sport grille plus you will need the sport grille mounting frame(different than slt).

i have searched for over a year for a used sport front end and finally 2 weeks ago i went ahead and bought everything i needed to change my '01 slt to a sport. i bought all OEM parts at a little over $1k wholesale.

the grille comes painted to match truck colors but the facia needs painted.

i haven't bought the sport/quad head lights yet but i will be getting them soon.

like i said,,wasn't sure if you knew,,but there it is.

if you just want the sport look bumper,,keystone sells a bumper cover that will fit over a slt bumper and you wont have to worry about changing all the above.

Yeah thanks for the extra info ICEMAN. I am aware of all the BS involved in this, thats why I am looking for a complete swap, SLT for sport. I followed timtoolman's build up also.

If we were not so far away i believe i would do it. I have a white 99 sport. It would just be a pain in the butt with you living in CA and me in KY. If you ever plan on coming out this way give me a holler and we could do the swap.

Didn't think the 99 had the sport bumper. Thought that was new in 2001.

The older sports were body colored bumpers and plastic - same shape.

99's and up use that bumper. 98's and prior had the same bumper as the slt but painted.

My 98 has the swap to the newer sport front end. The bumper, brackets, grille etc was required. I did not buy the dodge fog lights (some ridiculous price) so I found some PIAA's that fit nicely and only set me back ~50$. The only thing I dont like is they are blue in color... anyways, I love the way mine looks. probably worth 1K$ to me. however, those buckstops look pretty nice too!
