I was wondering if anybody out there has a source other than questionable Ebay auctions and overpriced Dodge dealers to buy sport headlights?

If you go with the dealer you get OEM quality, fit and high prices. I think the two sources listed in the next paragraph are eBay sellers.

The non-OEM sport headlamps from Importvision Motorsports at $210 a pair carry the same manufacturers part numbers as the sport headlamps from Auto Body Parts Wholesale at $279. 90 a pair. I have no doubt that they are the same item for different prices. The lamps carry both SAE & DOT markings and come complete with Philips 9004 & 9007 bulbs. Also included are headlamp-to-grill welt and the aiming screws. To complete the install you'll need pushpins (3 per side) to attach the welt and hex screws to attach the lamp to the truck (these items most likely salvaged from the removal of the non-sport lamps), and a wiring harness.

I installed the lamps from Importvision Motorsports in my model year 2000 Ram. The 460 watts of light to the front with all eight light filaments powered versus the 220 watts I had (non-Sport with BriteBox) was well worth the install.

headlight warehouse

I got mine from http://www.headlightwarehouse.com/. I don't know if the link will work or not. I had no probs ordering. Prices were to be expected, I think less than $175 for a pair. The lights were made by DECO. I've had them installed for about a year with NO problems. I wired them up so I have 4 bulbs burning for low or high beam. I used some harnesses from http://coolbulbs.com , but you can probably make something yourself cheaper. THIS WAS ONE OF THE BETTER UPGRADES THAT I DID TO MY TRUCK!!!

Talk about poor sentence structure, and grammar. Thankfully I'm out of school.

price correction

SORRY,

Just went on the headlight warehouse sight, and they are $119 for a sport headlight, turn signal & bracket. That makes it $238 to do both sides.

I have a 98 Sport with non sport lights. Do I need any type of special wiring or can I just buythe kit and be set to install?

Something to consider when doing the swap. Re-use your existing rubber welting. The stock OEM welting seems to be better quality then what shows up on the after market Sport Lights. Others have noticed the same.

Aiming lights

Have any of you that upgraded to the Sport Lamp setup and bought the AFTERMARKET light had any problems with aiming or beam pattern?

Yes. I found that aiming/pattern were difficult by trying to do it by flat wall/measure/adjust. I noticed that each side seem to have it's own pattern. I finally adjusted them by using a dark vacant flat piece of road and adjusted so the lowbeams did what they were suppose to do and then the Highs just seemed to fall into place. I've heard of others taking them in the the dealker to get them machine aligned .
