Hi y'all .i have a 98 QCSB 12 valve that I'm wanting to buy the sport grill and bumpers for. Anyone n
know of any?

I looked at lmc and it appeared that they only had chrome and the overlays. *Didn't see sport. My chrome bumpers are fine,just wast a different look. Thanks though.

Unless they just don't have it in stock, it all looks like it's still available.


The earlier Sport package was just the factory chrome bumpers painted the same color as the body. You can hold out and try to find a used factory set but I think you'll be waiting a long time.

Must have not looked right. *I've heard the grill and bumper has to go together. Then some small misc brackets, paint and install. Thank you for your help. Had an 01 sport and like the look so I'd like my holy grail truck to look like it. Already rust free,so worth the mods. Thanks again!

Yes, if you're going for the '01 look, you'll need all the bumper parts shown, the grille, the grille frame, and the latch rod. I put one on my '95 and I had to bend and drill the hood lip. I don't think you'll need to do this on your '98.

Thank you verrrry much that's the look I'm after,cept painted grille to match my truck. If I do that and a rear bumper ,I'll have my perfect truck! Thanks a lot! I notice in your sig that you have a goend transmission. How do you like it? They just sell parts now and no trannys. Wondered why... How much power are you making with your combo?

The transmission is the best money I ever spent on the truck. My transmission was not actually built by Goerend's. It was built by a local transmission man with Dave's TC, VB, input shaft, and a few other small parts. I used to work at a shop that sold Dave's transmission's. At that time he was so overwhelmed with orders for complete transmission's, the wait was at times over six weeks. The magic isn't in the build, anyway, it's in the pieces Dave has designed and perfected. Any good transmission man can assemble Dave's parts.

As to power, I'm currently right at 350. When I first built the '98 I was running a larger turbo and I was just over 400 but it was very smokey and laggy so I jumped on the 351CW and sold the 66.
