Does anyone know what issue of the TDR the conversion write-up is in? Also, any new developements that make this conversion cheaper or easier. I have a '96 truck. Thanks for any input!
I found both of my sport lights on E-Bay for less than $50 - for both! One was listed wrong and the other had a flaw so minor that you can't see it unless you are kneeling in front of it and look for it.
I used "dodge ram" as my search. If I had used "sport" or "headlight" neither of these lights would have been included. You need to keep up on it every day or 2 or there will be way to many new items listed to look through.
As for the harness, make your own with relays. You can get the part that plugs into the headlight at autoparts stores. For the part that plugs into the harness, use an old bulb, cut all the bulb supporting parts off and solder a straight connector to the thick wire that's left. Then cover it all with a generous dose of silicone. I rigged mine up to run both low beam elements and the high beam element of the hi bulb when the brights are on. HOLEY LASER BEAMS BATMAN!!!! I don't need driving lights anymore! Oo. Oo. Oo.
