Since I have done the SL conversion with the added relays and wiring, have noticed that the dash above headlight switch is

still very warm . This and reading current posts points to the parking lights being the culprit. I have read in the past members drilling a small hole in the air duct next to the switch which helps.

I would like to add a relay , any of you lighting gurus attacked this problem. In addition does the factory trailer wiring come off its own seperate relay?

My switch is warm too, even after the SL direct battery hookup harness with realys etc. etc.

Dont let it worry you. There's a resistor in there so that you can dim your dash lights. I drive with mine almost off. This adds resistance, so it makes it run even warmer.

If you run with the dash lights all the way high, it may be cooler.

However I find this a distraction.

I wouldnt sweat it. :D
