I saw a Mega Cab in Sturgis last week

Headed back up to MI from GA yesterday, while passing through Louisville on I-65 I came up on a 2500 reg cab flat bed conversion towing a gooseneck. Not just any gooseneck, though. Dual duals, long, and had a few thick steel plates chained down flat on the deck of the trailer (like 3x5'). In front of them was a steel framed plexi-glass wall about as high as a huge fiver. Just a flat wall, no curves, just a parachute of a wall, had to be 10 ft off the deck of the goose running the full width. Looked crazy. As I come up on this oddity, I notice one of those prototype bra's on the front (the ones that distort shape and cover everything, like the "spy" photos) with the fender cover flapping so badly it rubbed the white paint off down to the metal. Between the bra's convulsions I was able to spy the swept headlight corner of the new '06 front end.

The truck was totally de-badged save 2500. We were able to see a 4 inch tailpipe so it was one of us. I rolled on by, gave him a friendly poof, and scratched my head the whole way home. Whatcha think fellas? I can think of no practical use for such a hideous towed contraption, much less drink enough to make one of those padded bras look good on a RAM.

What could it be?

Mileage/durability testing our new 5 speed automatic?

Perhaps towability of the new Mercedes diesel? (knew that'd get your attention) yeah right. :p

What about stressing that G56 DMF under extreme loads?

How much wind could a ram truck truck?

Ideas?

I live close to Cummins, and spotting these rigs are pretty normal. However, I do not know any of the routes they take. I see them somewhat randomly.
