My Dad (who just picked up his new 600 by the way) was told that if he gets a spray in bed liner, that the warranty on his paint is null & void. I guess a friend of his had this happen on a Pherd, that's who told him. Anyone on the TDR ever hear about this?? Any info is greatly appreciated.

My brother and father bought new trucks and had the factory spray in liner put in (performed at the dealership, as they were equipped to do so) I don't believe it voided the warranty in any way. I'd ask your dealer, then I'd ask the guys who spray the stuff in for a second opinion.

Good luck, nice truck!

My dealer had a spray in liner done on my truck as an aftermarket item.

Dealers can't void the paint warranty on the whole truck unless it is proven that the spray in liner is the cause of the paint problem. Obviously they will not warranty the paint under the liner.

If your paint peels off on the roof, Dodge would have a hard time convincing anyone that your bed liner caused it. I think your Ford friend is full of it, or he's not giving the complete story.

wow... this thread just gave me a new idea! I was going to do the LineX thing with my bed until LineX got crappy with me regarding what was not covered under their "so called LIFETIME warranty", i made the choice to keep the plastic Dodge factory liner in my truck. With that in mind, I think I will check in about 6 months and see if the plastic liner has rubbed the paint off. If so, I would assume that DC would have to repaint the bed, as it was a factory installed liner that messed up the "one coat" Mexico paint job on my truck. (not real happy with the lack of paint on my 04 beauty)... Just a thought

Thanks for the replies fella's. I thought it sounded crazy too, but it sure is nice to hear it from others as well. The guy with the Pherd is probably jealous of the old man's 600 anyway. :D

When I bought my 03 Honda Accord, the dealer made it very clear that there is no warranty whatsoever on the paint. What you see is what you get. Of course, they wanted to sell me a paint protection package for $500 to cover it.

I don't know what Dodge's policy is.
