315/70/17 question

Engine Ride...

does your truck's temp climb to 240+ then drop off to around 210? that was the question I got this weekend from a 1 ton drw 3rd gen truck driver pulling a 30' toy haluer.

after sharing the thermostat anomaly with him (learned here) I asked if he'd heard of the TDR. "No, what is that?" he replied.

well needless to say I filled him in, gave him the URL and mailing address. I'm going to put some info in the glove box for the next infidel I meet on the roads.

I have un-business cards that I print up with my personal information on the front and a picture of my truck and camper on the back with URL's to the TDR and IRV2.

Yeah, I have a few spare TDR stickers.

Everytime I see a parked Dodge/Cummins without stickers or strike up a conversation with a Cummins owner I stick it under their wiper or hand it to them with a little note welcoming them to the TDR and my username on it.

Made up some TDR business cards from I file I found here on the TDR.

I also have this on my rear window:

I try to steer all the cummins owners towards the TDR. It has saved me hundreds if not thousands and LOTS of headaches.

Stopped at the truck stop to fill up, had a 2nd gen owner and a 600 owner asking me lots of questions. Had to sheepishly ask them to pull out so others could fuel up!

wasn't there a blubp in the magazine ?

I thought there was a page you could xerox out of the quarterly TDR rag to hand out to newbies but I can't find it. Is my old mind just further from reality or did I just overlook the page?

There is, or was. I keep about 50 or so under my seat. If I see a Cummins in a parking lot or sitting elsewhere, I'll stick a flyer under the wipers. I have seen my name in the referal page of the TDR more than once.

hey management

Ken has a great idea in the previous post. Hey management/modertors/editors of the TDR world. How 'bout a PDF info sheet?

C'mon SAVED you $$$$. Man this site has cost me plenty of $$$$;) Now the headache part I agree with. :)

OK, OK. It has cost me lots of money and given me a few headaches, but my wife knows where I am at all times (in the truck), and she knows what I am thinking about (the truck), and knows what to get me for my birthday/christmas/father's day - something for the truck.

And that, my friends - priceless!

Now if I can only convince her that when something is 50% off, if I buy two, I save 100%. Buy 4 and I get money back!

;) ;) ;)

As for Ken's idea - a pdf form would be great!

I keep a stack of the membership forms in the truck and hand them out to CTD owners that aren't TDR members.

I don't put them under their wiper blades though. I don't touch other peoples vehicles without their permission and I hate for people to put things under my wiper blades. I've gotten more than one scratch on my fender from careless people doing this:mad: I won't do busness with folks that do this, just one of my quirks.

I found 'em !

off the home page I found the Membership Drive button, printed the page and also printed the page from the Purpose button.

How do you give them the forms if you don't stick them under the wipers? Do you only do it if you see the driver/owner?
