I have a 2006 dodge 5.9 cummins. I have a spring light coming on on my dash when it comes on it doesn't wanna run right or rev out to change gears. it only seams to come on when I down shift and let off the gas to let the gears slow the truck down instead of using my breaks. I was told it ment a clogged injector but it don't miss or chug. if anyone knows what this could be please let me know thanks.

Post a pic but I think that is the grid heater coming on. I would check for codes and no it doesn't mean clogged injector

Grid heater light. The leak detection DTC is kicking and set the ligth and the counter that fuel calculation has found a discrepency. If the DTC happens so many times before counter expires the ECU derates engine power. If that is what you mean by not running right then you have some fuel system issues that are serious enough to derate power.

First thing I would do is an injector and fuel system cleaning with the cleaner in the filter housing, then, does the a full clean tank of fuel with a quart of PS or favorite conditioner plus a quart of 2 stroke oil. Drive that tank out and see if it makes a difference. If not start with checking LP pressure, PRV funtion, and replace the FCA. If those do not solve the problem time to pull the injectors and have them tested, likely got some bad ones.
