2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Spring Replacement

I have one broken leaf in the spring pack. Has anybody ever replaced leaf springs and are there any tricks I should know about?

I replaced mine with all new ones from Alcan Spring in Colo. Got rid of the lift blocks at the same time. Only trick (besides frozen bolts) was loosening the fuel tank to make room to slide the bolt out. Wasn't that bad.

Leaf springs

One well known important trick, is to line up leaves and bolt hole in middle, then use C clamps to hold alignment until you get them in place. Be carefull they are heavy! Another helping hand and a couple of floor jacks are usefull too. Put the front bolt at the fuel tank in the other way, then you won't have to mess with the tank if you need to do this again.
