Does anybody know the ideal peak boost pressure for the SPS62?

I changed the brass adjustable elbow to the wastegate out for a better flowing one, now peak psi is 45lbs, with the adjustable installed, it would go straight to 55lbs then s l o w l y bleed back to 45lbs.

Is your better flowing elbow non-adjustable? If so, and you want to get the 55 psi back, then you need to adjust the wastegate rod to get the wastegate to open at 55 psi.

When I had my SPS 62, I had a non-adjustable elbow and set the wastegate for 40 psi and it cooled fine. With the TST + injectors fueling it would still overshoot 40 psi to about 45 psi, but then the wastegate would pop open and bleed off the heat and pressure.

Every truck is different so you just need to spend some time playing around with the wastegate.

I was just trying to find out at what peak pressure it is most efficient without overboosting it. My head is not studded yet, ARP studs are sittin' next to me though :) , and with the new combo of the Smarty/TST stack, I don't want to go overboard with boost/cylinder pressure with an unknown amount of timing. So far I'm happy with the wastegate mod, it will open the wastegate right at 45lbs and stay there, instead of hangin' out at 55lbs and then bleed back, which I am more comfortable with right now. I know the MLS gaskets are good, but I guess it's just better to be safe than sorry right now.
