What would cause a squeak in the front right axle when its only in 4wd? I though it was the t-case, but that has been changed from a dld to a dhd. The front and rear driveshafts are new, the fron u-joints have been changed and the hubs have been changed.

Its a squeak happens when going forward, it sounds like, squeak-squeak-squeak, if you get my drift.

The truck also has a posi-lok, and all the brakes are new, calipers, rotors and hawk pads.

IT CANT be a u-joint! It only happens in 4wd when going straight. Plus they are BRAND NEW Spicers. I have been around Jeeps since I have been driving and I know what a u-joint sounds like.

I'll check the fluid, but I just changed it last winter.

Hey,

My 1952500 done that when the lock out valve mounted on the axel went bad.

Found one at a junk yard 60. 00 and noise went away. (2 Yrs ago)

Sorry I didn't read your post carefully.

Check to see if the splash scheild is rubbing on the rotor.

Are the u-joints greaseable? If not were they greased when they were installed?

It is remotely possible that the new bearing or u-joint is failing.

Check that the spindle nut is tight then jack it up & check it for looseness.

Check the u-joint in the seal area for dry possibly red powder (rust).

Turn the wheel fully left or right then rotate the wheel to see of it rotates freely, if it tends to spring back the u-joint is going bad.
