With the colder weather here my clutch pedal is squeaking and driving me nuts!I looked up under the dash and gave everything a shot of graphite lube. Still have the squeak. On warmer days it wont squeak. Anyone run into this before or have any suggestions.

Rob, what part of the linkage did you shoot with the white grease? We're not talking a little squeak,we're talking a loud irritating squeak.

Mine started to squeak very quietly last week when it was cold and wet. It was just loud enough to hear when I had the radio turned down though, and just loud enough to drive me #@$%! #@$%! #@$%!

Funny ever since it dried up(still cold) it doesn't squeak:confused:

white lube or silicone sprays work

if you're double jointed enough to get it up where it needs to be. it's almost impossible to see, so i spray silicone all over and figure i'll hit it.

Went crazy with the WD40 on mine about two months ago. It's been fine since.

Could hardly reach the area so I just sprayed like a mad man.

squeak location

The squeak can come from a few areas. The pedal can squeak, the linkage can squeak at either the mounting point or the hinge, and squeaks can come from where the rod goes into the firewall.

All of it, every moving clutch related part under the dash, it was driving me nuts. :D

I don't know how you guys can reach it... It was hard enough for me to plug in my electric trailer brake harness let alone get to the clutch linkage... I tried spraying like mad and it almost went away... figured it was better than nothing.

What Rob Thomas said. I did the white grease thing several months ago and no squeak since. The WD40 may work for while but probably not for the long haul.
