"SQUEEK AROUND FRONT DIFF SHIFTER"

To anyone who has noticed persistent squeeking/eeking noise from around front diff/4WD shifter on the floor of your RAM... there are times when I drive with no radio, just to enjoy the silence and listen to the "whistle", which is soon gone due to LOUD squeeking noise at floor around shifter housing... it is not the BOOT... it's either coming from the plastic housing that meets the floor or somewhere below that... anyone experience this and what's the cure/band-aid?????
