SRT-10 Hood Installed

Looks great, I noticed you had 19. 5" G124s on your truck, how did you like them?

Fred, the hood looks awesome. However, what did you do with your 19. 5" wheels and tires?

The 19. 5's were okay, I decided to go another route. For me, they were too heavy, and robbed too much power.

Is the hood doing anything for you in a functional sense? Keeping anything cooler?

Brandon, right now it is not, but I am looking at making it cold air to the airbox. The hood design appears to make that part easy.

Where did you get that bumper???

That is a tough country winch bumper. I chose it because it works(tested on another truck), and it is light weight. The bumper alone weighs 200 lb. Now add the 12K winch, and it keeps my total additional weight under 300 lb.

Only for a couple more days. The truck will be changing form after next Monday.

Freddy, like me you're always trying out new things!! It looks great. It does appear you will have room to make some kind of air ram system? Did the hood bolt up or did you need to modify the shape or anything? Anyway it looks great... . It still amazes me guys like you changing exhaust tips, hoods and H2e rims and the like to make things look good.

It is a stock srt-10 hood no mod needed, just paint and install.

Steve, I change things you don't see too. The SBC DD I installed about 2 weeks ago. Also switched the transmission oil to RedLine MTL last Sunday, that made a big difference.

Of and of course, that cool shifter knob, makes the whole setup work.

I haven't done pictures yet, but I put a 6 inch turn down stack tip on to cut down on the fender coloring.

Where and how much $$ did you have to shell out for the hood alone? Also is it open so water ect gets into the engine bay?
