Alright, I could have sworn I posted this already but through my searching I can't find it so here goes again...

I have an 03 dually 4x4. I have never, ever, seen a dually front wheel I like. The rears all look good with the dish but the fronts are hideous with that bulge.

So, heres my idear, take the dually hubs off the front axle converting it to an SRW axle. Buy a set of SRW style aftermarket wheels such as the Weld EVO Velociti 8's. Then buy the Velociti 8 dually versions for the rear. Anyone on here done this? I can't for the life of me find any pics of anyone that has done this.

Oh yeah, I plan on 33's with the KORE leveling kit.

That's fine, except if you get a flat. As long as you're willing to accept this, I think it might look really good!

I have seen it done on a 2nd gen truck. He ran a stock 16" alloy wheel on the front and had alcoa's on the rear. Looked ok is all. But he was not trying to match the look. Then he put 19. 5 Visions on it in a single wheel application but left the dually fenders on the the rear. Looked a little "off" so to speak. But it can be done.

So, I guess I'm going to be the guinea pig huh? I'll keep this thread updated as I go, probably ordering tires/wheels next week. Now to find a good E rated 305...

i wanted to do samething on my 2000 just have't got the funds to do it yet, i found the wheels i like just need bennys

keep us posted

I have seen many county vehicles and National Park service vihicles with the srw front and drw rear. I dont know why they are ordered this way but its odd.

I have the bulge on my fronts. The neeper Apex that was posted above is the same one I have on my fronts. They have the appearance of a smaller projection in my opinion. I guess I just don't mind everybody knowing I have a dually, I don't have to mask the goofy front rims or the fatty rear fenders. I'm proud to be the big beefcake!!

Just remember, if you go custom rims on your DRW, you will have a pain of a time rotating the tires!! You can not swap front w/rear. Rickson's might have what you're looking for.

If I could do it all over again, I'd spend the extra $$ for the 19. 5's that you can reverse & swap w/front - It just gets to be a hassle after a while.

I am curious however how your swap would look. I'd like to see some pictures when you do it.

ps-I think my profile has a few pictures of those rims if you'd like to see 'em
