St. Louis Dyno Day ?!?!

I have heard from a few st. louis TDR members, that a dyno day is in the works located in ST. Charles...



Any of you "missourians" heard like wise?

Hey Tom i just talked to the owner of 1st capitol 4wd and he said a group approached him about a dyno day but haven't set anything up for sure yet. He said he would definitely do it whenever better for him on a saturday. I'll let you know more when i find out.

I found out there is a DYNO DAY that is happening in St. Louis ... ... ...



BUT..... Its tomorrow (12/29/04) at 10am at 1st capitol 4wd, and I am the only one that know about it so far... .



hehe, well I got antsy and called the dude up and he said "heck, bring it by anyway!"



SO i will be there at 10am if any one is on the area!

OK, heres the details

I went up to 1st capitol 4wd in st. Charles... Expecting to pay my $50 and drive on for 3 good pulls...



Well I get there and they ask for my keys, I said "huh?" -- would you believe they would not let me Dyno my own truck ??



He said insurance, blah,blah... I understand that, But I think I should be able to sign a waiver for that... ANYWAY, I left mad and DIDNOT dyno there and never will, they are pompus and not flexible... I told him he would have a hard time getting the keys to ANY TDR members trucks to DYNO



Bottom line is that I will not be attending ANY events there



So I went to Mustang Muscle (636-677-9987) - And they fit me in at 11:30am, and I pulled 3 times for $45 --- nice too, let me re-pull a messed up run, and we chatted abnout trucks, etc



I will post pics of the run when I get a chance today

PS - on 7/6 with EZ on lvl 1 --- 437hp--- 911 torq

Todd you already know about Scheids up in Effingham. I know Keith can O-ring it in St. James, and I know J. R. can have it fire ringed if you want. give them a holler. Hows it going w/ the new truck? The old one is running great out here in Az, now if I could just get her to pass emissions.

Time for a new turbo there tommy. Congrats on those #'s I thought they would be more flexible when a group came in. The guy running the dyno is pretty picky. i had to tell him not to shut my truck off between pulls when he would get out and adjust his computer.

By the way, I posted my graphs in the 3rd gen engine forum.



And screw that guy that runs that DYNO, I tries to tell me that he has 800hp camaro, as if that qualifies him to run my truck... SO i asked him if I can dyno his camaro, since my truck makes more torq (I would think), I should be able to handle it...



Really though, I know what my truck sounds/smells/acts and feels like... I know when something has went south... He does not



Forget that guy, MUSTANG MUSCLE was asking me when we would like to come back to do another dyno day, $45 for 3 pulls... not to bad, And I told the operator about the 3rd gen RPM lead on the injector harness (the pink wire) - so now on all 3rd gens, no need for an optical pick-up



SO what day is good for everyone ???!?!

Thanks, You could imagine my amazement when the operator leaned in the window and said 437 - AND I never hit 1320*, at least if I did, the egt limiter hurt my numbers



Twins are definitely on the the table now, so it just a matter of time

yep, count me in too. if we do it before the track opens back up, I'll have to drag along Mama's Magnum to see what the muffs, intake and racing air have gotten me.
