ST owner question?

Calling all ST owners... what is the interior light situation on ST-trim trucks? Are there lights in the same place as an SLT, just without the computer display?



I know it's a small question but any information is appreciated.

The light in a ST is in the center of the cab roof only. It has the soft-off feature and is fed in the harness that comes up thru the drivers A-pillar. Ihave been thinking of checking out another DC product for a light housing to fit in the area where the trip computer goes in a SLT. Also , I had the high center brake/cargo lamp assembly out while installing a "back-off module", I found a sheetmetal bracket that appears to be able to accept a lamp housing for the passenger area ! Might have to keep my eye open for a rear light module.

Thanks for the info! Did I read your signature right that you sold the ST? May I ask if it was because you wanted the features of the SLT? If I could get an SLT with roll-up windows and manual locks I would, but I really enjoy those manual features.



Any general impressions you can give on the ST vs. SLT that might help me make my decision?



Sorry for the open-ended question, but I am trying to make the right decision. I am planning (like a lot of people) to keep the truck a long time.

Any of you ST owners who are interested, I would like to trade out my chrome grille surround on my SLT for one of the flat black ones off an ST! Just PM me if you're interested!

I am very happy with my ST, love the rubber floor and the heavy duty cloth seats. The seat is very comfortable, prehaps because it does not have all the mechanicals for adjustment in it. I prefer roll down windows, I may add aftermarket power locks in the future however. My truck came with all the options (for an ST) it has cruise, tilt sliding rear window, cloth seat, tow package, plow package, anti spin, tow mirrors, 4. 10s, and the chrome grill surround. I added the rear cupholder in the floor as it does not come in the ST, it was $12. I also bought a factory AM/FM cassette/CD with RDS of eBay for $200.
