2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Stabilizer Bar Lateral Lock - Good Idea?

Ordering up some suspension components. Came across this:

Seems like a good idea, but then I thought: why don't the engineers install them on trucks today? [Of course, I haven't recently examined any modern Ram trucks... ]
