Help with Westach fuel pressure gauge.

Whats a good quiet muffler?

Question?????

What muffler combination can I use on a set of 5" stacks that will give me a lower tone and also be able to hear the turbos whistle??? There are a number of delivery trucks that I hear that sounds great. You hear the turbo spool up and just a little throatie sound. I have went thru the threads and seen different combinations but I havent found what I am looking for yet.

Currently I have one of those Big Exhaust 4" with a 5" turn down that will really talk to you in the lower gears and the rpms up pulling a hill.

If the stacks sound like this... I am already use to it. . so that wont matter. But what I am looking for is a set of stacks that when you are standing beside the truck you can hear the turbos and a low growl. . but a very clean sound...

Thanks

Rick

I just got done putting a 6" bull hauler stack on my truck. It has a very deep note to it, deeper than the 5" straight pipe, and the turbo whistle is a lot more evident. www.berubes.com has 5" in/out resonators (cheap too!) that would work well with a set of stacks, I don't have first hand knowledge of how well it minimizes drone and such but it should work to some extent. What I can say is my truck is quieter at idle and the drone is no worse than my old 5" exhaust.

You will want turn-outs, if you want to hear the turbo better, from the ground. That is the only thing I don't like about my miter tops, other than they don't stay clean on the outside, with a smoky truck. I only got the miters because I live town.

I have Dynaflex resonator that I bought from www.iowa80.com No drone. Quiets the only a little, and it actually makes it easier to hear the turbo. :D Even 5" stacks have a nice sound to them. 6" woud be even better. :D
