Does anyone know if the Power Pup dpwnloader can be stacked with a pressure box like the Edge box? Has anyone doen it? I think they work off two different principles, don't they?

Thanks

I have them stacked, Edge EZ on setting 4 and the pup on performance. I had the pup on extreme, but fuel consumption was insane, so I detuned her. :D

This is how you stack. Disconnect the Edge, and plug everything in back to stock. Hook up your pup, follow instructions. Once everything is downloaded, hook the Edge back up.

But, If I were you, having "been there, done that". I would not stack until your transmission has been upgraded with a torque convertor and valve body at the minimum. A transmission lock up controller is also recommended. I had some clutch pak wear, caught it in time, just from running my Edge. It was close, but like I said, we caught it in time to prevent any serious damage. And I babied the truck, the only time I got on it was getting on the e-way at a roll. Infact, I have never even tried a power launch to this day, even with all of my upgrades.

Your 48re is stout, and will go many miles with stock power, if properly taken care of. But, these boxes can do some damage, even at mild hp/tq numbers. Like I said, "been there, done that"

Saccowboy,

Right now I am getting 16mpg with the Edge on 4 and the pup at performance. I never checked my mileage with the pup at extreme, but I would guess it was somewhere around 10-12 mpg. I could watch the fuel gauge move, but it was fun! :D
