Twins and EGT reduction.

Anyone try VA C3.2 and a larger turbo?

The thrill is gone with my Edge EZ.

Looking to go further over into the Dark side:D .

Stack my EZ w/ a TST box or sell the EZ and buy a Comp?

I'm probably going to put EDM 1. 5s in at the same time. transmission work is already in progress w/ new TC and valve body ordered.

Hope ya'll can help me with the decision.

Heh . . . maybe you should check yourself into a help group such as Diesel Addicts Anonymous :p

Anyway if you plan to add EDMs the same time you add a hotter power box combo it will give you a major leap in power (is your turbo and clutch up to the task?). You could keep the EZ and add the EDMs or get the TST and EDMs, but you're asking for a lot by stacking and adding EDMs (but some will ask "why not?" LOL).

I would suggest the EDMs and TST, that would be a nice combo. I have been in a couple trucks with the TST and it works very well. If you stick with the EZ there is 1 small FYI. . . the timing is pretty advanced on it and when run with hotter injectors it tends to increase noise and vibration (it did on my '01).

There are lots of ways you can go, there are quite a few other boxes out there, depends if you want timing with your fuel increase or not. Two boxes I really liked above the EZ is the Puck and the older van Aaken box.

Good luck on your quest for more power. . . can't imagine why you can't just live "happily ever after" with your EZ :D

This from the person who admits he likes to stop and admire his 5" exhaust (old post).

Maybe the name "MacKenzie" is Celtic for "More Power Please"Oo.

I'd ditch the EZ and just run the TST and injectors. True, some people have made more power stacking, but imho, the additional engine stress isn't worth it.

Not to mention, the $300 you could sell the box for will make the cost of the TST upgrade reasonable. Think of it as paying $300 to keep the EZ and it's modest HP and excessive timing.

If I decide later that I want to tweak timing and such, I'll do it right with Marco's ECM. I should have gone with the TST right away, but alas, I was afraid to tap the wire. Fear seldom leads you to the right decision.

Well of course Charlie, it dates back to the old days in the Scottish Highlands when our ancestors did battle with the MacDonnough, MacLeod and Ross clans :D

01SmokinRam,

What kind of HP numbers are you making with you setup? How do you like your EDMs?
