EZ lvl 3 and TST 3/3 4/4 5/5, and guess what? SOP felt WAY slower. I could not belive what was happening. Truck ran fine Smoked about the same no CEL, Just made less boost and truck was slower no doubt. I did standard hook up, TST in orig. map sensor, then EZ on the other end. I know EZ was working because my little 2000rpm stumble was present but it made no improvement what so ever just a loss in horsepower. It was a definite dissapointment but I will try it one more time to be sure everything was 100%. (Thats how dissapointed I was, made 1 run and unhooked it).

Well, two things: First, the EZ doesn't work with the 600. Secondly, even if it did, you don't have nearly enough air to run that combo. Even with a DD Jammer turbo cranking at 40psi, I only have enough air to run the TST on 5/5, and the EZ on 4. Beyond that, the power drops off (observed on dyno).

Tst's box and boost elbow are designed to stop at 35psi. I am continuously seeing 38-39psi in the top of 5th and all through 6th. The box doesn't defuel, it just doesn't add anymore after 35 psi. The boost elbow is set to open the wastegate at 35 psi. This is really putting a damper on my 1/4 mile times. Any ideas? Even if I put the bigger turbo or even twins the box will stop additional fueling at 35 psi. Right? So what good are those? I ran a 14. 6 at muncie with the ez and tst stacked. Last weekend I ran a 14. 88 with just the tst. Any ideas to beat the 35psi limit? To keep me pulling through the 1/4mile. Lee.

you guys are missing the point. First off I was the first one to run the EZ on a 600 on this board, and IT DOES MAKE POWER! level 4 is too much pressure for the 600's fuel rail(thats why I ran it on level 3). Second pressure makes fuel atomize better which makes it easier to burn givin the amount of oxygen in the cylinder. The added pressure can flow more fuel at a givin injection pulse length but with the fuel now being sprayed at a higher level of pressure its easier to burn. Also on my TST box theres a huge jump of power between 3/3 and 4/4, If my SOP feeling is less on 3/3 with the EZ connected than with the TST on 3/3 by itself, then how can that be explained? My TST box on my truck can make useable power till about 7/7 so if Im on 5/5 with the EZ on lvl 3 shoulnt it have more power? Read the above post by NOT_AGN he says he ran a 14. 6 TST with EZ and a 14. 88 TST only with stock turbo so heres proof that the turbo can do something with the stacking combo. NOT_AGN, As for the 35 psi and your fueling, talk to mark at TST and he can program your box to not cut back on fuel for more disired fuel and boost with proper wastegate settings.

Mattymac,

I don't know how else to explain it... there's a "fuel saturation" point, that once reached, reduces the amount of power you produce.

Case in point - I made 463HP with the TST on 7/7, EZ on level1. Turning the EZ up to level 4 brought the power down to 414HP.

However, on 5/5 with the EZ on level 1, I made 420HP. On 5/5, with the EZ on 4, I made my best run of 490HP.

I agree with you that the higher pressure results in better atomization of the fuel, which promotes a more efficient burn. However, that still doesn't negate the fact that, no matter how well atomized, you can only burn so much fuel with a given amount of air. Beyond that, the fuel is dousing the flame front, and you get less power produced.

Of course - now you're going to ask how did Mark make 400HP on his test truck on 9/9 with a stock turbo. I have no idea :)
