Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Stacking Smarty and Edge Juice

Anybody have any experience with stacking these on an 01 or an 07 (5. 9) ?



Also, I haven't used smarty by itself, only Juice on an 01. I've played with the two together just a little and with my 110 injectors - very smoky for regular driving with very sensitive throttle inputs causing total smoke out of fellow drivers... ... :-laf



Looking for any inputs from experience stacking these and getting best combo for drivability... .



I know for just going fast - crank 'em up and watch the smoke billow out...



Now running Ats 3000 and 5000 compunds and ATS stage 6 transmission, stock VP44 and FASS 150

you can stack them you just can't run the smarty on any level with timing. with the edge box being used

Do you know why not? Advancing timing, if not done too far, should be additive, but not necessarily bad if not excessive. I just don't have any technical specs to know how much exactly each contributes.

Too much timing if both are adjusted for timing,---but----fueling, thats all good !!!

I actually run this setup... I just use the Edge for the gauges though... . I let the Smarty run the fueling!!!

stacking a smarty

i run a smarty & quadzilla on my 01. i keep the smarty on level 7. when i ran it on 9 i had too much smoke for daily driving plus talk to cody a rep from industrial injecton he said his truck(99)made the most power on the dyno on level 5. so more isn't nesassarly better. you may just have to play with the diff. levels to fined what works with you compound setup. i wish i had that problem. keep blown smoke, especily at those rice burners. i forgot one more thing,i talked w/Bob Wagner the smarty rep. he said our trucks generaly make better power when using the smarty & just a fuel box & getting the timing from the smarty tuner. i have a edge comp. box but never tried the combo after he told me that. often thought about it but need new ecm first. just happy trucks still runnimg right now.

I have on 02 and I have a Smarty and Edge Juice stacked. I run the Smarty on Level 8 and usually the Edge on level 3. It gets better with the Edge on 4 or 5, but I need to replace the clutch soon, so I try not to aggravate it. Truck does smoke signifigantly more on level 4 and 5 then on 3. Has great power though...
