Developing plans to install stacks on a flatbed truck so if you could post photos of your truck with flatbed and stacks it'd sure help.

Man I hate to start another stacks thread but this one deals with flatbeds. Little Bro is considering stacks in front of the bed at the cab corners. The cross over would be a part of the bed framework. The stacks would of course be within the width of the bed since it's a foot of so wider than the cab on each side.

Thinking is, there would be no loss of bed space to the stacks and cross over.

Photos would help fleshout the plan.

Thanks, RR

TDR member "soot" has stacks on the front side of the flatbed, like you are thinking of doing. He has pics of the plumbing, too.

I have pics in my RR. None show the plumbing, though. The inlet of the y-pipe goes through the floor of the bed, to the 5" 90* elbow. Flex pipe on either side of the y, to the 90s below the stacks.

I have stacks on the front/sides of my flatbed on my '96. I crossed under the frame on each side, made a hanger and a heat shield between the pipe and fuel tank. It has worked well for years and for a lot of hard driving. I used the "T" pipe from the local truck shop. It shoots off in a double 90. Used just a short piece of flex to take care of vibration. I already had the 4" downpipe. It crosses over and splits just behind the transfer case. I can try to take a pic if you would like to see.

I plan on doing stacks when i do my flatbed on my '96. . i plan to fabricate the dumping bed and i wanted to have the stacks come up from the bottom of the cab and go up in front of the bed folowing the cab side and i was going to angle the front corners of the flatbed to get the clearance. . planning on 6" stacks at least 1 hopefully two of them... I'm interested in seeing different picture of them

thanks

Deo
