im going to run my stacks through my bed cover. i have see some pics of other trucks done this way, but im wondering what they did for the holes around the stacks?

One of the guys cut holes and "ringed" them with some metal (stainless ?) flanges top and bottom. I forget what clearances he used between the stacks and the flanges but 3/8 or 3/4 seems to ring a bell. Hope this might help.

My tonneau cover lifts up and I was afraid I wouldn't have enough room for the cover and the stacks would then meet..... so, we cut a 1/2 inch around the stacks and sewed it up. Turns out, we didn't need only but 1/4 inch around the stacks. Hope this helps.

ABonnell, shoot me an PM with your e-mail address and i'll send u some pics of my tonoe... . my cover buts up right next to my stacks and ive had no problems with the cover.....

GIT-R-DONE, when did u get heat shields???? i didnt see those on at the last spring fling

Actually I had to sell the ride... . but the heat Shields had to be installed to be legal in PA now... . according to the mechanic/dealership. They asked that I put it on because someone from the state saw my truck and told them that they could write me up for it..... also get them for inspecting it that way.

So, I did what they asked... . knowing that it was leaving anyway.

Keep it close

I have had my stacks on for over 4 years now and I have LESS then 1/8 " clearence around the stacks. When the stack gets hot the tarp will shrink and pull it's self away from the stack with out burning or melting.

This link will show you pictures of my tarp and stacks.
