Hey everyone it is pesky me again:D . I want to install a pair of stacks onto my reg cab, but when looking under the front of the bed I see a small support beam that runs side to side directly under the front of the bed where the pipeing would go. If I was to go around the support the stacks would not be almost touching the front of the bed. I dont really want to cut the support, not do I really want the Y in the bed. I would like all pluming done under the bed so it looks real nice:D . Any thoughts? Anyone gotten around this problem in the past?

O. K.

I checked into your pictures bgitbert and they look good, but still you have a somesort of somthin;) at the front of your bed. I noticed the same with formula's, in his case he had the pipes. I didn't see anything on paccols pictures though. What I want is to just have a stack up each side. Is this possible or am I asking to much?

Robert

P. S. The 8" stack on formulas RR's is awsome!:--) Oo. I would LOVE to see that thing on a really cold morning, or even better hear and see that thing as you drive by a church on a cold Sunday morning! ;)

Robert, Forrest is right, fuel tank is in the way. Just get under the truck and see if you think you can plumb it any other way. If I ever stack my 91 it will be with the Y in the bed as Formula did, instead of a 6"piece of steel like I did.

Now I did see on my 96 dually they ran a piece of 3" exhaust up and over the frame between it and the bed to the corner of the bed then straight up thru the bed to a 3-5"adaptor and stack. Very clean install, only a small hole in the bed where the adaptor came thru then the stack. Don't know if we have any room like that, to go between the frame and the bed. Bill

Forrest,

Duh, O. K, Yeah, Right, Fuel tank. :( There is a concept!  I was looking under the passenger side!   What a moron I am not thinking about the fuel tank. Stupid #$!!@*&$^blinkin%@**$%&$*beepin&^#@ son of a sea cook! Where was my brain:confused: (on second thought, don't answer that question).

O. K. Where was I..... O yah. Fuel tank. Mabee putting the plumbing in the bed isn't such a bad idea.....

bgilbert,

I will go out and see under the truck (looking under both sides!

:p ) once the rain stops.

I saw a 24V a few years ago that had the chrome pipe running up the outside of the rear corner of the cab. Looked pretty good, though I think stacks and pickups dont really go together, unless it is an aluminum flatbed with a bevelled front of the bed.

Well, I thing that you guys are 400% right. I vote for pluming in the bed!:D Thanks so much guys for your input.
