I have a buddy that wants to put 5" stacks up out of the bed of his 98 standard cab. He wanted to see some pics of who's running them and where he could buy them from. Also, are you running mufflers with the stacks. or just straight.

THanks,

Nick

I have Rob Thomas's set up and like it very much. I started with out muffler it was loud but managable, but ended up puting a resinator on just to cut the edge a little and looks good to cops looking under truck.

Go to the TDR classifieds then click on product promotions. There is a section in there for TDR members products. The stack kits are for sale there.

Who's Rob Thomas??

Where not talking about Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20. Rob Thomas is THE MAN. He has a very nice ride with several trick features.

I'm runnin' dual 5" inch stacks and love every second of it. I've got the silencer ring removed, an AFE MegaCannon, and NO muffler/resonator. Totally straight piped. It's loud, though. If you into that kind of thing (like I am), then it's just music to your ears. I have LITERALLY had people turn around and wave at tractor-trailers thinking that it was my truck coming up behind them. :D

All of the parts came from a big rig parts store (Cumberland Truck, I think). Sorry, but I don't have any pics yet. All I can say is that I had the stacks put on in January and I drove home (about 25 miles) with the windows down. Oh yeah... I live in PA and it was about 30 degrees outside. I highly recommend them.

My set-up is like most that I have seen. Single downpipe off the turbo, up-ed to 5" immediately off the downpipe, single tube through the bed, Y-ed in the bed into both stacks. Finish it off with a piece of diamond plate, and you're done. The "Y" piece is expensive! You're probably better off fabbing up your own "Y" out of 2 elbows welded together.

Just my 1 cent. I'm too poor to give you 2.
