new member here. I would like to know how many of you that have put stacks on your trucks have kept them on or have gone back to what you had originally? I am asking this because i am not sure i want to keep mine or not. I love the way the way they sound w/o the muffler, but i get headaches after i get home at night. I am going to get my muffler put on tomorrow and maybe that will help.

I like mine, I have the internal baffles in each stack but was just a little to loud and had drone on the freeway. I just installed the Aero-turbine that has the resonator and muffler in one unit and it sounds 100% better IMO. No drone, kinda mellow but still sounds great when I get on it hard. I am definitely going to leave them on now. :D

I just peeked at your pics, I was wondering if you get any soot on your 5er with those stacks. BTW sweet looking truck

I'm still trying to find someone around this #%&*#$%^%$%^ commenwealth who is willing to put stacks on. They want to charge an arm and a leg , a quart of blood and your first born Just to get straight piped. Then there's no gaurentee that anybody will inspect it without a muffler. I realize a truck doesn't need a muffler if the exaust is asparated through turbo. But you can't tell guy's that around her because thier inspection licence are on the line. I should have stayed in The big Sky Country!!!!!

A resonator will kill the drone, and quiet down the truck a bit, but not to much. I was running one on mine (Dynaflex 5" inlet/outlet, straight thru design). Works nicely. Took it off a few weeks ago. No real drone with my staks, though.

What If

I,M THINKING OF RUNNING STACKS ON MY 92 350 CLUB CAB CAN I USE 2 3 INCH FLOMASTERS TURDED SIDE WAYS AND GO INTO 5 INCH CROME STACKS

George. I installed a diverter valve so I can swich to out the back when I pull my trailer. I am still working on that so You can not see the pipe out the back. I am still trying to find someone here that can bend 4" pipe so it will exit at the rear bumper. It works really good I got the Idea from another TDR member that is running the same thing. I will try and post some pics today, it was really easy to do and work just great when pulling my 5er. I pulled my boat the other weekend and left it on the stacks and did get my seats alittle blackish. I want it to turn down right at the bumper. Like I said I will post some Pics. Happy Easter to All. :D
