Ok guys ive got turbo back 5" exhaust it looks decent just aluminized piping buuut lets hear some comments on stacks. . who sells the best who on here has them? and what would look best on a 96 2500 4x4 long bed? thanks

I run 6" miters looks and sounds awesome just ask my neighbors :-laf :-laf

went to the big truck shop and built my own ;) good luck...

Powder coated 6" miter cuts!

FYI... Grand Rock subjects there chrome to a salt test to see how long it should last. According to the results. . the chrome starts showing signs of it starting to have problems at 44 hours. Now you say that 44 hours is not a lot time but the intense test off 44 hours is equal to 5 years. So with your normal cleaning and polish etc. . that time would be extended.

Yes stainless is the way to go but dont count the Grand Rock system out!

I love stacks problem is I have a toolbox that sits on the side rails of the bed. What I am wondering is if anybody has some stacks with a toolbox as well. I know you have to move the toolbox forward, but does it still look good. I also thought about refabing the toolbox to cut out the back corners for the stacks, but don't think I can manage that.

What I would do is sell your box and buy an under the rail box. You can get good used or previously loved boxes for realy cheep!

That way you can have your stacks and a box too. If you cut tand miter you current box it would be alot more work.

Just my two cents...

still thinking

ok guys i definetly realize that mbrp stacks look good as H*ll . im a sucker for stainless, thats all we weld at work. buuut do these kits from whichever company come with clamps and all or is it weld on stuff. i just lined my bed an it looks awsome with rhino liner. the truck used to have a center mounted stack but it has a plate there now. so some say dual stacks and some say one stack, whats the final votes TDR?

I bought my truck with the stacks, but they are a homemade piece. I'm not a big fan of the stacks sticking above the roof line, so mine sit right where i like it.

TDR member Lsfarm sells stack kits. The kit includes the stacks, square crossover pipe, flex pipe and the clamps to attach everything. Check with him.

up n mtns I really like those clamps that anchor the stacks to the top of the bed. for the guys worried about the rusting of the chromed stacks. I remember one time I was washing the truck @ the firehouse and one of the guys thought I put new stacks on,(an hour earlier) they looked like crap.

I showed him a little secret. take a piece of tin foil and a pot of clean water

dunk the tin foil as to work with it wet and slide it up and down the stack

makes em look brand new. after the first 3 years probably have to start this process about twice a year
