I'm having a 1/8" ID SS Braided line made for my boost gauge.

Other than looks, I decided to go this route because the standard issue tubing is only rated for ~250 degrees. Or something like that. The SS line is rated for +400 degrees.

I'm having one made for my 3 gauge pillar install and thought I'd offer to anyone else who is interested.

Unless you need other fittings... . or something special... the cost should be around $25-$35 bucks. I'll know for sure on Thursday when I pick everything up.

If interested, drop me a line.

I may be interested, i dont know how much i am looking forward to snaking another, bigger line though my dash, but let me know about price and availibility.

..... I did exactly that several years ago when I installed my (then) VDO Vision series boost gauge. I used -04 AN Aeroquip Teflon/braided stainless steel hose (used for custom brake lines) and $tainless $teel fittings (NO worm clamps or? used):eek:. When I totalled it all up I had around $135. into the boost line (:eek: ), and $35. into the boost gauge.:confused: Oh well, what price can be placed on trick accessories. :D:D

BTW, I still have the boost gauge, trans. temp. gauge and pyrometer (with new thermocouple and trans. temp. senders) FOR SALE. In addition, I also have that ultra trick braided stainless steel boost line and double A-pillar pod attached to the OE Agate A-pillar (with tweeter provision) also FOR SALE. (Note: the double pod is painted to match and is attached with epoxy i. e. , NO visible means of attachment)

Man, do I feel your pain :D . I need a 6" circle in the firewall with a rubber grommet with all of my future plans. Well, maybe a 1" circle will do for now, lol.

John, that -4AN braided is cool stuff, just got some when I ordered a Autometer gauge from Summit. Today I saw my largest AN fitting yet, -18 AN. It was at a local speed shop that had ordered it for a guy that builds high performance speed boat engines. HUGE !!!!

Hey Bigsaint, the -04 AN steel fittings can be purchased QUITE a bit cheaper than the $tainless $teel fittings. Once I knew there were s/s fittings that could be had my decision making process was all done. :D BTW, I purchased all the Aeroquip components from Summit Racing.
