Stalls

Got a 99 24 valve. It starts and runs great. After it gets to operating temp. it sometimes stalls when you stop at a light. It'll restart and run fine but may stall again unless in neutral. You can feather it to keep it running and get on the Hwy. and it'll go like heck. What gives???????
