Page 158 of the TDR #44, talks about a lift pump and water seperator/filter that is designed for the 2nd generation, 1998-2002 24 valve VP44 problem. How good is it? I wanted a F. A. S. S. system but it pumps too much fuel and reguires a secondary return line back to the fill nozzel vent to maintain correct pressure on the 3rd generation application. The problem is that I have a 76 gal. bed tank with a 4 way switch valve that can be switched on the fly that I just can't live without. The FASS system pumps too much flow for the stock return lines to handle without causing a pressure problem. I want a stanadyne system to go between the switch valve and my in place lift pump suction but my truck is a 3rd generation HO and I don't know how much pressure that can be pushed at the 03 lift pump without causing a problem. Any smart people out ther that can help me? How much max added pressure is ok for the 03 lift pump suction? The FASS would have been ok if I did not have the bed tank system. The return lines are stock on both tanks and I don't want to pump fuel from one tank to the stock tank. That just spells disaster! Help!!!
