The coolest thing I've ever seen!!!!!!!!

Lil Big Rig

I found and picked up my doner truck last week. A 93 wrecked auto. My plan is to get back my 76 ford truck I sent to my Bro in Oregon because I couldnt smog it here. I will be removing all the AC hardware from the engine and running aftermarket guages for everything. Deleat the heater grids and Shutoff solenoid so this will be a 100% non computer project. However, I want to use the 727 in the swap. Any info on how this will work with all the electrical plugs on the trans. Do they come from the computer?

I wont mind installing a "manual" OD switch as long as I can get normal 1-3 action.

PS. If anyone needs various and sundry accessory under hood or dash parts let me know. This truck is totaled from the door hinges back. Perfect in front.

Since you aren't getting very many replies, I'll dive in here. The trans in a 93 is an A518 (727 with an eletrically activated, hydraulically controlled OD). The truck originally had a computer to control the shift to OD. This can be controlled by a switch to eliminate the computer. The electrical plug along the pan rail is the reverse light/neutral safety switch. The vertical plug by the fat part of the trans is OD solenoid connection. The electrical plug at the rear (if 2wd) is your speedometer connector. By removing this at the big nut, a standard speedo cable can be hooked up. Off the top of my head, the two wires going into the OD are front wire is 12v hot and rear ground (originally grounded by the computer). Not 100% sure on hot vs ground, best take an Ohm reading from each to case before hooking up. There is an Ebay seller that has the parts to make this all happen automatically. ATP trans parts or something similar.
