Why is it that all the literature I read has the standard output diesel rated to out tow a high output diesel. To me shouldn't it be the opposite. I have a standard output so I am definetly not complaining I just don't understand
The 48RE weighs more than the 47RE, so expect a similar drop for otherwise identical trucks. The 48 went back to a cast-iron casing over the aluminum 47, from what I've heard.
Well I hope the 48RE will be a bolt in replacement for the the 47RE so when transmission replacment/rebuild time comes around I can upgrade. I know it's supposedly a beefed 47RE so bolt patterns should be the same I just hope electronically it will work.
