DHess is right.

I've looked many places for a low cost source, and these guys beat all of them.

My case of 6 showed up yesterday, UPS to my door. $17. 34 shipping from Texas to Oregon. $16. 86 per jug total. Best price I could find "locally" was very close, but I'd have to drive 130 miles roundtrip to go get it.

Clarification.....

My post above refers to Diesel Injection Service in Lubbock Tx.

800. 658. 9355

Apparently, their web address is www.dieselpage.com

These were 1/2 gallon jugs of Performance Forumula at the price mentioned. Sorry for any confusion.

no affiliation.

I've ordered from Diesel Injection Service out of Lubbock before. They have always sent my Stanadyne additive pretty quickly. I like them.

how does this stuff work. what are the advantages of a fuel additive. i see the ford guys putting it in all the time at the pumps. our books say not to use it. what gives?

standyne additive

I run the stuff religiously in my truck. Every fill up I give it a dose and I can see a difference in power and mileage when using it. It will not void your warranty, cummins has O'K'd it for use in their engines.

Are you sure about that ? I used it in my 98. 5 every fill up and was ready to use it in the 03. I e mailed Cummings and they said that they do not recommend using additive, and if a warranty issue did come up and they could show it was related to the additive it would not be covered. do a search on stanadyne there should be a few threads on this.

Come on, you can run these engines on anything from kerosene to used motor oil to biodiesel, what in the world would a fuel additive that makes it a little more burnable and lube the innerds have to do with ruining the engine. Just my . 02

task, thats nothing new. Dealers will always void warranty claims when a part has been damaged by something aftermarket... it makes sense. All depends if you BELIEVE the stanadyne is helping or hurting your engine. If you believe it's helping, and not dangerous, throw it in your tank. Chances are that it is in fact a legitimate product, and will actually help your engine. I've noticed smoother starts and initial running at 5F with stanadyne compared to without...

believe it or not, there are CUMMINS owners that still say it with the G, cummings. LOL. :D

Basically Task the point is, anything you change on your truck has this same ramification. It wont void your overall warranty, only something they can PROVE was damaged by your aftermarket part will be voided. The stanadyne won't hurt anything, I've run it every tank for 100k, so have tons of others. Hey be careful, if you install mud flaps, and it rips off some of the plastic trim, they won't cover that under warranty either  Better leave it stock!!!!!:-laf
