Investing in foreign markets?

Is this where we are headed?

Been a Pens fan my whole life. Even the bad years. Nobody in the east can compete if they play like they did against Ottawa. The long layoff has me worried though. In the west I like the Avs. One last hurrah for Smokin Joe and Foppa.

OK, coming into the second round for some, what are the predictions? Of course I am a Avs fan, Theo's is fantastic this year. . :D

I am with you, I want the Nordiques(Avalanche) to win. I do not think the Nuggets have much of a chance, after to days game withe the Lakers.

Avs

Avs all the way. I'm really glad they beat the elves in their red & green costumes. My wife's family lives in MN, so we have a strong rivalry. Bruce

Now that the Wild are out im going to have to say penguins. avs are not good enough. the goalie is the only thing that saved them they were outplayed in every game except one. Id also say habs would be an ok choice but 7 games to beat the bruins ehhh I just dont know. as far as western conference teams go I just dont think they have the same talent this year that the eastern conference teams have.

Eastern conferance teams are usually so slow they get in the way of the game... . :-laf I think the offense of the Avs can put enough shots on goal to beat anybody, they are very picky on what they put on goal though. They wait for the good looking ones. . Jose is looking good this year, he is in a zone, hope he can hold it. Next round will either be Dallas, or Detroit, all depends on who wins the Calgary/San Jose game tonight. I would rather have the winner of that game!:-laf Both Dallas and Detroit are awful strong, but, its the playoffs, anything can happen, and does!Oo.

The Wild have some good lines, no doubt, however there style of hockey was predictable. Get somebody to lay on Foresberg, rough up Sakic, pick a fight with LaPeirre, then put a few close to the net. . It was going to come down to who lost their composure, the Wild lost it. They beat the Avs all season, they thought they could do it again, they couldn't pull it off. .

I think Dallas may have the upper hand when it comes to them and Detroit. I think Detroit is too inconsistent come on they should have swept the predators right out. Right away.

Don't know...

The Predators have been a strong team all year, however they laid back in the games I saw, tried to play too much defense. You just can't get away with that when playing the lines of Detroit. Dallas is up and down, I have only seen a couple of in season games with them.

CF, when I read Stanley Cup I honestly thought you were referring to a piece of sport protective equipment, aside from placing a piece if cardboard or few folds of paper in socks to prevent sore shins, that's all the protective gear we used when playing Rugby, (the only game God allows to be played in Heaven) With that, and having spent some time in the Sun often I'm apt to make such mistakes.

I hope

I hope Jose coughed on a few of those redbirds... :-laf I could not believe Forsberg was not in the line! I know the wings have a lot of depth, but I am anxious to see how they fare against the Avs best game. . They did give up two goals real quick there, and Jose should not have even been playing. .

Colorado is super strong and plays deep into the game but its tough going when you have goalie issues in the first period.

Go WINGS!!!!

Avs are off...

The Avs are slow on the ice, Theo has folded, Forsberg cannot finnish the game, not good. The Wings are winning every battle, they seem to be everywhere at once, shots on goal 20-6? I know not to give up on the Avs, but, damn they stink right now, gotta be the stink in Detroit air, all those octopusses... :-laf

The Avs are going to have to do something after that performance (lack of) that I just finished witnessing! Granted they were frustrated, but the silly penalties are going to kill them... Doesn't help that the officiating was a little one- sided. Foote gets boarded/ X- checked and no call but when we did it they had the eyes to see it:rolleyes:

Oh well... look forward to Tuesday. May have tix for one of the games!
