Star Wheel? Old School/Piers..any info?

All things being equal if I only adjust the star wheel what effects can I expect? Low end? Mid range? temps? Will it increase total boost?? etc.

Star wheel adjustments effect your bottem end fueling, less spring tension brings the fuel in faster. It does'nt effect total fuel so your egt's will stay the same.

Ok, so if i got this right then the star wheel affects the AMOUNT of low/mid end fuel. Would it be correct to say that the diaphram adjusts the speed with which this fuel comes online? eg: clockwise speeds up the delivery rate?
Do any of these have an effect on total boost developed?
