Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) star wheel question...

I did a search first... but where is the star wheel? I slid my stock plate full forward today, I thought I knew where the star wheel was, but apparently my memory is slipping...

It is under the round plug at the top of the AFC housing. IIRC, It takes a 8mm allen wrench. May need a hammer to tap on the handle a bit. They can be pretty tight. Don't loose the sealing washer under the cap.



Did you slide the AFC housing forward as well? Will allow for more fueling.

Thanks... I slid the plate, now I got the star wheel turned 30 clicks toward the fender. Does the whole housing shown in the pic slide forward? I was kinda surprised (pleasantly) that after the plate and the wheel, there's still very little smoke. It sure did wake up the truck tho...

Yes, the mounting holes in the AFC housing are slotted as well.



You want to turn the top of the wheel toward the engine for more off boost fueling, not away.
