What shock absorbers to buy for 2007 3500 Dodge CTD 5.9 truck?

Anyone taking a vacation from FL to NH this summer?

Do others plow with their trucks?

If my 96 stroke does not sell with the plow by the end of summer I am going to pull the plow off and put it on my 03 Dodge in sig.

Lots of people are concerned about adding 200lbs of winch on the front? My 9.5' Boss V plow weighs in at 1K lbs and is 2' out the front of the truck.

I have no plowing experience. My bumper and winch was 290 lbs over stock plus other upgrades I was at 325 lbs plus. I used an experienced Spring Shop that handles commercial applications such as utility bodies, lift buckets, welders, etc. He recommended new coils with 650 lbs additional capacity and 1" lift for the front. You are over 3X my weight! I would get an experienced spring shop to advise you what upgrades you will need to compensate for that additional weight. That is a lot of stress on the front end!

Here's our '04.5 with the Hiniker plow set up we are currently using.

Other than the factory snow plow prep group, nothing special.

I've got that same setup on my 04. I put the factory 988 series springs in mine and have had zero problems.
This is what you need (988's)!

Your current springs should have a white factory sticker wrapped around one of the coils, and usually the driver's side is 1 number higher than the passenger side, ex: driver side #$%^&#**984, passenger side #$%^&#**983, the driver's side spring is heavier because of the driver and fuel tank. The 988's are available for the "snow prep" package, although I have seen them utilize a 986/987 combination.

Keep in mind the 988's will be rough riding without the plow...
