When I went to change a fuel filter and bumped the starter the lift pump does not run anymore. It does run when you start it. and when you turn the key on it runs a second or two?

Yes it starts and runs fine. 15 idle never below 12 wot. just when you bump the starter (to prime fuel filter) the lift pump wont run anymore

That sounds about the same as mine. Generally after replacing the filter, it will have to run for a little while to pull fuel up from the tank and then fill the cannister. However, after this has been primed and the truck runs good, it shouldn't need to run much after that. Mine only runs for a second or two after turning the key initially to the second key position, and then it starts back up when the truck is running. I believe that the pump or the ECM has a pressure relay sensor that dictates when the pump needs to run or not. But don't quote me on this.
