My starter had started clicking and no-start so i ordered the Larry B kit last week. The parts came in on saturday and i installed them today. This had to be one of the easyist fixes i have done on my truck. For anyone considering replaceing thier contacts the hardest part is removing and replacing the starter. Randy

You can get the kit at Larry Buck Inc. at www.fostertruck.com.He carries other parts, but the starter contacts are all that i needed. It has been said that the contacts are all that really wears out on these starters. I have 170k on my starter with this being the first time it has required service. Randy

THanks, I am thinking I am having issues like you were having. It does the clicking thing about 1 out of 4 starts. It will eventually start when it does but is annoying.

You are running a risk of the worn contacts sticking. If that happens it will burn up your fuel solenoid.

Same exact thing that mine was doing. Put in the new contacts, haven't had a problem yet. Been about 2 weeks.
