I've Had No History Of Starter Problems. I Recently Installed These Bigger Contacts And New Pluger For The Soleniod. My Problem Is The Starter Cranks The Engine Fine But Then I Hear A Grinding Sounds From The Starter When It Fires Up. It Doesn't Happen Every Time. The Starter Turns The Engine Over Fine Otherwise And It Starts Really Quick. Just The Grinding Now Has Me Concerned For Its Eating Up The Flex Plate Gear.

That would have me concerned as well.

Sticking solenoid plunger perhaps? Is there som interference in there? Something bent? Dirt?

I'd pull the starter and look for clues.

to update I replaced the starter relay but still have the same problem. I will pull the starter back out this weekend and take look.
