Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Starter help. Will a (early year, 99) 24V starter work with a (96) 12v Truck?

Hi, I already have a working 24v starter and the brushes are going out in my 12v one. WIll it work properly/fit?

Yes it should, I have a starter out of a '99 in my '96 and it went right in. Now I'm not sure on this but you might need to get one from a manual if your truck is a manual, same for auto. . .



Are you sure the brushes are shot instead of the solenoid contacts? These commonly go out, can get new ones here
